Oliveira Travel respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal data. This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, for what purposes we use it, and what your rights are, in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR — Regulation EU 2016/679).
Important note about our service model: Oliveira Travel acts exclusively as a travel consultant. We do not process payments, we do not make reservations directly, and we do not sell trips. Any reservations are made by the client themselves on external platforms (such as iCliGo). The data we collect is used solely to provide personalized consulting services.

2. What Data We Collect and How
We collect personal data through the following means:
a) Website contact form
When you fill out our form, we collect: name, email, phone number, intended destination, travel dates, number of travelers (including children), meal plan (when relevant), approximate budget, and any additional notes you choose to share.
b) Contact via WhatsApp
When you contact us via WhatsApp, your phone number and the content of the messages exchanged are accessible on the platform. This data is used exclusively to respond to your request and prepare travel proposals.
c) Browsing data (Google Analytics)
We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use our website. This tool collects browsing data anonymously and in aggregate (pages visited, time spent on the site, traffic source). We do not identify individual users through this data. Google Analytics may place cookies on your device — see the cookies section for more information.
3. What do we use your data for?
Your data is used exclusively for:
- Responding to your request for information or travel proposal.
- Develop personalized travel proposals based on your preferences.
- Communicate with you during the consulting process (by email or WhatsApp)
- We provide support before and during the trip, should you contact us.
- To improve our website and services based on aggregated browsing data.
Your personal data is not sold, transferred, or shared with third parties for advertising or commercial purposes.
4. Sharing Data with Third Parties
Your data may only be shared under the following circumstances and with the following entities:

We would like to clarify that when a proposal is presented based on an external platform (such as iCliGo), any booking and payment is made by the client directly on that platform, and the payment and booking data are subject to the privacy policy of the respective platform and not to that of Oliveira Travel.
5. Legal Basis for Treatment
- Consent (Article 6, paragraph 1, point a) GDPR) — for browsing data via Google Analytics and non-essential cookies
- Contract execution or pre-contractual due diligence (Article 6, paragraph 1, point b) GDPR) — for data provided through the form or WhatsApp for the purpose of providing consulting services.
- Legitimate interests (Article 6, paragraph 1, point f) GDPR) — for improving services based on aggregated data
6. Storage Period
The data collected through the contact form and WhatsApp is kept for the time necessary to provide the service and, at most, for 2 years After the last contact. Browsing data collected by Google Analytics is stored according to the configured settings (maximum of 14 months).
7. Your Rights
Under the GDPR, you have the following rights:
- Access — knowing what data we have about you
- Rectification — correct incorrect or outdated data
- Elimination — request the deletion of your data
- Portability — to receive your data in a structured format
- Opposition — to oppose treatment based on legitimate interests
- Withdrawal of consent — at any time, without prejudice to treatment previously carried out
- Limitation — request a temporary suspension of treatment

You still have the right to lodge a complaint with National Data Protection Commission (CNPD) in www.cnpd.pt.

We have adopted appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your data, including secure connections (HTTPS) and restricted access to internal communications. However, no data transmission system over the internet is 100% secure — if you detect any irregularity, please inform us immediately.

This Privacy Policy may be updated to reflect changes to the service or legislation. The current version is always the one published on this website, with the update date indicated at the top.
